We can do a logo or Emblem in many ways. I have explained the following an easy to create a good logo without creative idea.

Sometimes we need to add a picture with logo. Before make a logo we have to select a suitable clipart/picture. I am going to do my logo using photoshop shapes. Many sites have free downloads for shapes. Download and copy the files to /presets/customshapes/ directory. Now you got more shapes. Change the view to large thumbnails and search a suitable shape.

Create a new file size 5in x 5in in Photoshop with min 300 dpi (you may give more resolution if you want the logo sharper). Select image mode whatever you want. My logo was created like this. Site name is CreateMix.com, My name is Chandra Mohan. My goodness there is same letter In front of the both words. So I decided to do my logo with two main letters C & M.

Now I select a shape of Butterfly. Why I choose this? A butterfly is mixing with colors and creative curves and also the letters covered with that shape. Let’s do some little changes on it. First I removed the bend (see pic a )from the ‘C’ portion. Otherwise someone will say it shows letter E. In pic b. Using pen tool joined the 'C' shape perfectly.

Now the logo is empty, I going to give some graphical effects. If you want to fill something, all curves should be joined. Use pen tool and fill the gaps. See picture below.

Then I download a abstract background from google images. Open it in photoshop and copy that picture and paste into inside logo by ‘Paste Into’ command. Apply Ctrl+T, right click select flip horizantal.

Now the logo is ready. Add the Name with slogan.

The same thing we can paste into different abstract and get more graphical effect for your logos.
